Park End competed in this year’s Middlesbrough school’s athletics competition.

The team consisted of 36 year 5 and 6 children, both boys and girls. The competition was held for the first time at Middlesbrough’s brand new sports village. The facilities were fantastic and the children thoroughly enjoyed the day. The children’s performances were outstanding, with every team member showing excellent team spirit.

Park End left the competition with a whopping 13 medals. Those included:

Mackenzie – Gold in long jump and 60 metre sprint

Faith – Bronze in howler throw

Megan – Silver in howler throw and bronze in 60 metre sprint

Dillon – Gold in howler throw

Tye – Silver in 55 metre hurdles and silver in long jump

Analise – Bronze in chest push

Jack – Gold in chest push

Lewis – Bronze in 800 metre run

Connor – Gold in long jump

Alex – Bronze in long jump

Park End team came 4th overall just missing out on 3rd place by one point. Well done to all children who represented Park End with pride!

Mackenzie and Dillon both made it into the Middlesbrough team and will compete in the Tees Valley athletics finals later in the month. Everyone at Park End wishes them lots of luck!
