Wilf Mannion

Our school once again entered into the prestigious Wilf Mannion Football tournament that is held every year at MFC Foundation Eston. A total of 40 schools entered the tournament from around the Tees Valley area and is ran over a period of two days.

We decided to enter 3 teams this year to give more pupils a chance to play and broaden their experiences.

Team 1:
Mackenzie, Matthew, Lawrence, Taylor, Alfie, Mckenzie, Brandon, Kenzie and Dylan.

Team 2: Callum, Joseph, Ellis, Rio, Owen, Rio, Jack, Lennon, Tyler and Louie.

Girls: Megan, Chelsea, Analise, Nicole, Alice, Lois, Caitlin, Kezia and Emily.

All teams played superb on the first day which determined our group for the Friday. On Friday all teams carried on their fine form and outstanding team work which showed with our results. Team 1 didn’t concede a goal all day and narrowly missed out on winning the group. Team 2 played some fantastic football and showed great effort coming 3rd in their group. The girls also showed great togetherness and determination throughout the day also coming 3rd in their group.

Mr Holmes, Mr Storey and Mr Lovatt were extremely proud of everyone who competed for the school and represented Park End in a spectacular manor!
