Y3/4 Football competition
On Friday 30th June, PEPS Y3/4 boys and girls football went to the sports village to play in a Middlesbrough schools football competition. The boys team consisted of Dylan, Lucas, Zak, Lewis, Deaton, Leon and Harvey. The girls team consisted of Ebony, Martha, Lacey, Destiny, Paige, Keiya and Scarlett.
The boys played some magnificent football during the morning games, winning 2 and losing 1. There was some superb goals scored from Lucas and some excellent defending on show by Harvey and Deaton. This placed us in the championship games for the afternoon so the boys knew it was going to be very tough. The girls also played some great football on the morning and displayed fantastic team work in winning 3 games and losing 1. The girls were really fired up for their afternoon games!
The boys were drawn against Pallister Park, The Avenue and Newham Bridge in their next round of games. Again the boys carried on their fine form but were playing against teams of equal ability so the matches were much tighter. We drew 2 and lost 1 so unfortunately the boys were knocked out however should be very proud of themselves the way they conducted themselves throughout the day. Special mention to Zak Marshall who pulled off some outstanding saves! The girls were drawn against St Edwards, Pallister Park, St Gerrards and St Claires. The girls were so pleased to make it in the championship group and it was clearly shown playing with smiles on their faces, whilst winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 1. As a result they were also knocked out of the competition.
Well done to all footballers who took part!
