After coming second in our group we progressed further into group B for the afternoon round of games. The boys displayed some excellent resilience and skill by winning all of their games which led them to the final.
The final was against Ayresome Primary, knowing it was going to be a tough match having only beating them 2-1 in the group, the boys started with flair and enthusiasm scoring in the first minute with a well-executed header by Mackenzie. The game finished 4-0 with another goal from Mackenzie and two goals from Dylan. Well done boys!
The girl’s team was made up of 8 pupils who were Faith, Megan, Annalise, Chelsea, Nicole and three year 4 children Lois, Leah and Kezia.
The girls were given a hard group of four schools which included the likes of Lingfield and St Edwards primary school. The girls done really well during the morning group conceding no goals and finishing second in the league showing passion, motivation and confidence which saw them move into group B for the afternoon round of games.
The afternoon group saw the girls play 3 more games, the girls rose to the challenge playing some great football finishing in first place which saw them move into the final against Lingfield. The final was a really close contested game and at full time saw the score still 0-0. Penalties! Park End eventually coming out on top thanks to Leah Mulraney making two fantastic saves to bring the trophy home for Park End!
Special mention to all 8 girls who did not concede a goal all day, well done!
