Year 5 cricket

On the 30th June a selection of children were chosen to represent Park End in the cricket plate competition which was held at Marton Cricket Club. The team of 8 children consisted of 6 boys who were Jay, Lawrence, Declan, Mackenzie, Dylan, Joseph and 2 girls Megan and Faith.

After winning all of our group games comfortably we progressed onto the semi finals against Whinney Banks Primary School. The game was very tight however Park End came out on top winning by 13 runs with some outstanding shots by Jay and Joseph.

In the final we met Breckon Hill Primary School, the game was expected to be very close as Breckon Hill were performing superbly on the day however with some exceptional bowling by all the team and nerves of steel by Mackenzie in the last pair, we won by 21 runs!

Mr. Storey, Mr Lovatt and Mr. Holmes were extremely proud of the team! Fantastic result well done!
