Year 5/6 Cricket

On Monday 13th June our cricket team travelled to Middlesbrough CC to compete in a cluster event involving many schools from around Middlesbrough. The team consisted of Mackenzie, Joseph, Brandon, Ellis, Callum, Sam, Dylan and Megan.

Our group consisted of The Avenue, Marton Manor and Pennyman. We knew that all games were going to be played at a high standard and every game was going to be very tough. Throughout the three games we played there was outstanding batting and crucial catches made which helped us every step of the way qualifying for the quarter finals. We were drawn to play St Edwards in the quarter finals, again we knew it was going to be an extremely challenging task. Unfortunately we lost by 12 runs giving away too many extras within the game and could not afford that with such tough opponents.

Well done to everyone who took part!
