Therapy with Steffi

Park End Primary school work with a wonderful counsellor, Steffi, to support children who may need some high level, specific, targeted emotional support.

Steffi is not employed directly by the school; she is an external professional who drop in to school for weekly sessions with children. Sessions are purchased by school or social care.

The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is the main person in school who coordinates the provision.  If you’re a professional or a parent who is concerned about a child, and you think working with a counsellor might be helpful, you should speak to the school’s SENCo. The SENCo will talk about your concerns with you. You can also speak to the school’s deputy designated mental health lead, Miss Race.

Steffi works in school every Thursday and Friday.
