Beverley Park – About
Beverley Park is a within school alternative provision for primary-aged pupils with Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Through carefully planned, time-limited placements, we provide a highly personalised support for children who would benefit from a period of targeted intervention, equipping them with the skills, confidence and strategies needed to make sustained progress and successfully access their learning.
Our calm, nurturing environment combines specialist teaching, evidence-informed practice and tailored interventions to support each child’s academic, social, emotional and communication development. Every programme is personalised, recognising each child’s individual strengths, needs and aspirations.
Working in close partnership with families, mainstream and specialist schools, the Local Authority and a range of external professionals, we develop a shared understanding of each child’s needs and implemented targeted support that promotes positive outcomes. Throughout each placement, we work collaboratively to build capacity within the child’s mainstream setting, ensuring strategies can be sustained beyond their time at Beverley Park and supporting a successful transition back into mainstream education wherever appropriate.
Where assessment indicates that a specialist setting is the most appropriate long term educational pathway, we work closely with the Local Authority to provide comprehensive assessment information and professional recommendations. This evidence helps to inform consultation with specialist settings, ensuring that decisions about future provision are based on a thorough understanding of each child’s individual strengths, needs and potential.
