Online Safety

Advice for parents and carers

Park End Primary School has now reopened to all pupils. We understand that many pupils have been accessing learning remotely and spending a lot more time online. We understand there may be continued concern from parents about the safety of their children online.

It is important for children and young people to stay both connected and safe online. Remember to talk with your children about the websites and apps that they are accessing.

If you have downloaded new apps or bought new devices like web cams or tablets, remember to adjust the privacy and security settings to suit you. There are age appropriate parental control settings already available on most devices, these are free, but a lot of these need to be turned on.

There is lots more online safety advice on our online safety page on the school website.

Government advice can be found here.

The NSPCC has published top tips for keeping children safe online during lockdown. Find the advice here.

Inappropriate Content Online

If you or your child encounter any inappropriate content online make a report to CEOP using the link here
